| Bet the any seven option |
| A very common hedge bet among craps players is the bet any seven option. It would seem logical to make such a bet, but only when the point has been established. If a player calculates his odds and bet spread correctly, and if the shooter throws a seven, then the 5-1 odds that that bet pays out should go a long way to covering some of the losses. |

The only possible deterrent for the thinking player is that of the statistical possibility of the seven being thrown in open play being considerably higher than 5-1.
As play progresses and the point has not been made, it might be possible to observe an experienced craps strategist gradually increase their bets on the any seven option while at the same time reducing their bets on other single roll |

options especially the field bets, as the possibility of the seven being thrown statistically increases.
On a stand-alone basis, the any seven option bet is not to be recommended, as the odds are far from generous and the risks are too high to justify it. |
