Casino Craps Rules |
Casino Craps is the dice game that offers everyone the most exciting play. It is played on a purpose built craps table or online table with two individual dice. Players bet on or against the number combinations being rolled on a pair of six-sided dice. In a live casino, these dice are replaced with the new ones after every eight hours of use. With an online casino, the dice rolls are electronically generated in random patterns. Here on our website are the rules of how for playing the casino crap game. So to start with: |

In a live casino, the player who is the shooter must handle the dice with one hand only when throwing and the dice must hit the walls on the opposite end of the table. In online craps, this rule is moot as the roll is electronically generated. |
A live craps table can accommodate up to about 20 players, each getting a round of throwing the dice. If you don't want to throw the dice, you can |

bet on the thrower. With online play, the numbers allowed in the craps game vary from site to site. |
The first roll of the dice in a betting round is called the come out roll - a new game in craps begins with the come out roll. A come out roll can be made only when the previous shooter fails to make the Point or seven out. This is the same whether live or online craps is being played. |
If the current shooter does make his Point, the dice are returned to him and he then begins the new come out roll. The come out roll states that a new game is about to begin. |
When the shooter fails to make the Point in all versions of the craps game, the dice are then offered to the next player for a new come out roll and the game continues in the same manner. The new shooter will be the person directly next to the left of the previous shooter. So the game moves in a clockwise fashion around the craps table. |
The dice are rolled across the craps table layout. (Online this is simulated electronically). The layout is divided into three areas - two side areas separated by a centre one. Each side area is the mirror reflection of the other and contains the following: pass and don't pass line bets, come and don't come bets, odds bet, place bets and field bets. The centre area is shared by both side areas and contains the proposition bets. The bet lines are typically the same for all online versions of craps. |
Pass bets win when the shooter come out roll is 7 or 11, while pass bets lose when the shooter come out roll is 2, 3, or 12. This is the same for all versions of the game. |
Now that you have a better understanding, why not try your luck at one of the many online casinos who offer craps games. |
