Bet the don't come bar option. |
One of the more complicated bets that you can find on a craps table is the don't come bar option. For those who have gathered some understanding on craps betting, the don't come bet is, as it sounds, the exact opposite of the come bet. |

|
The player is betting on the possibility of a shooter not making the point after it has been established, or throwing a single number twice before he throws a seven. One of the more complicated yet potentially profitable bets for a craps player to make, it becomes very hard work to follow this strategy through in a land casino. However, in an online casino environment, a thinking player can take full advantage of the betting options that chasing don't come bets can bring. |

Every bet has its particular peculiarities in craps, and the don't come bet has more than its fair share. For example, if the shooter throws a two or a three, the player wins even money. However, if a twelve is thrown, then the bet is regarded as a standoff, meaning nobody wins or loses. Most seasoned craps players will regard throwing a twelve as luck lost, and will press their bet for the next round.
An experienced craps player will be following the roll of the dice and will see that a certain number has been thrown and will then bet against the possibility of that number being thrown again before the seven is thrown. The numbers that the player can wager on are the traditional box numbers of four, five, six, eight, nine and ten. As the round continues and the dealer throws a certain number, then the player will place a bet on the don't come bar. The dealer will then place the bet in the box number section, in the empty box above the number that has just been rolled. If the shooter throws a seven before that number comes up, then the player wins and the rest of the table loses. Players who bet consistently on the don't come bar in a land casino are never the most popular and are often branded as Jonahs or coolers, since their actions are "cooling down" the table. When playing craps online this is obviously not a problem. |
